Sardinia cruising info

I'm considering a two week catamaran trip to Sardinia next year. Can anyone provide insights on best weather, itinerary and bareboat charter companies to consider? I have intermediate experience having sailed in Croatia and the Ionian this year.

Hungry Eagle - did you make it to Sardnia? Curious what area you cruised and which company you may have chartered with? I'm considering doing the same this fall.

Hi Global Nomad, We go in September. I booked with Helm and they found the boat in Olbia with Spartavento.

I’ve booked with Aladar at the end of September. Really looking forward to it - and apparently many of the charter companies are nearly fully booked!

We spent 5 weeks in Sardinia last summer including 1 week hosting a 6 catamaran flotilla out of Portisco through Maddalena and Costa Smeralda. Several charter companies along the coast (Olbia, Cannigione, Portisco). Winds are variable so we had to change up our itinerary some. Pre-reserving berths a good idea if you're staying in marinas. Lots of great restaurants, cute villages, beautiful beaches (though Sardinia is very protective of such). Happy to answer any questions about it. Blog forthcoming.
