Absolutely no mention of condition in the description, a sometimes telling omission. Regardless, I know you are asking for opinions on value but without seeing it and thoroughly inspecting it, all boats start out at $0.

The pictures look nice, but who knows? They could have been taken 10 years ago. Even in really good shape, I doubt that I'd pay $279k. Still, it all depends on condition. Guessing at what it is worth, without seeing it and judging its condition, is a pretty worthless exercise.

there is a 45 for sale here in mazatlan for 245000usd, asking price. i think ye should be able to purchase a 38 for around 150,000usd. unless the price is in pesos, i wouldnt go for a 38 for that much.

Not everyone REALLY wants to sell their sailboat. But I know that I would be happy to sell MINE for 279k. Or 179k. Probably would have to think about it at 79k.

Didn't we discuss this boat once before? Anyway, even if it was in absolutely pristine condition, I wouldn't pay that much for that boat. So, yeah, I think this is probably a case of someone who doesn't really want to sell their boat, but for some reason feels the need to have it on the market.
